FLCW NOTES:

The FLCW General Board met in the fellowship hall on Tuesday, April 8. Thanks to the board members who met early and cleaned the kitchen! Great job!  The meeting opened with devotions by Julie Schuster.

Thanks to the following for their service to FLCW
-to all the people who came the church to clean. The smell of Murphy's Oil soap is a good thing! There are still some areas that could use a cleaning. The cleaning list is on the bulletin board in the kitchen in case you find time to help out. Any time you can give will be greatly appreciated.
-to the ladies who have agreed to serve on a committee to look into purchasing new dishes, glassware, and silverware.
-to the women who attended the Cannon River Conference at Trinity Lutheran in Wanamingo on April 5th. It was enjoyed by all.
-to service group 1 for serving the Jasmin Cruz Funeral and to food preparation group 4 for preparing the food.

May 11: Confirmation.
May 13: FLCW General Board meeting at 7 pm.
May 18: Senior Recognition at 8:30 Worship Service.
May 28: K-W Baccalaureate at First Lutheran at 7:30 pm.
June 12: "Festival of Tables"** (See paragraph below for details)
July 2008: "Come to the Waters"- Women's Gathering in Salt Lake City. Pray for the women of the ELCA who will be attending this meeting and taking care of business for the Women of the ELCA.

Thanks again to everyone who made our bake sale on Palm Sunday a great success. The bake sale and donations totaled approximately $1100.

***FLCW is planning a very special event to be held on June 12, 2008, at First Lutheran Church. We are hosting a "Festival of Tables" and are asking for members to volunteer to decorate a table with your special dishes, decorations, etc. You will decide on a theme and decorate a table accordingly. Each table will seat 8 people. We would like to decorate a total of 10 tables. The evening will consist of a short program followed by a light supper. If you are interested in decorating a table, or would like more information, call Jill Berg (789-5316) or Marie Spidahl (789-6494). We would like to hear from you before May 9 if you are interested in decorating a table.
